Barcelona will be fresh as they look to seek redemption from 2:8 to Bayern

Barcelona will be fully rested to make their Champions League opener, since their game against Sevilla has been postponed. The catalan giants will face Bayern München, who played RB Leipzig right before their visit to Camp Nou
Once the international break is over, Barcelona was supposed to face Sevilla at the Ramon Sánchez-Pizjuán in a league game originally scheduled for 11th September. This game was right before Barcelona's first big test of the season when they face the almighty Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Fatigue was among Ronald Koeman's biggest worries before the first two big games of the season, however, CONMEBOL's extended international break forced LaLiga to postpone the game, something that Barcelona players and staff will surely be grateful for.
The Spanish sports council allowed LaLiga's proposal to reschedule Sevilla versus Barça (in addition to Villarreal versus Alaves), with the postponed games to be played as soon as the calendar allows it. This way, even though this decision was made thinking exclusively about South American players (mainly playing for Sevilla and Villarreal), every player in the Barcelona squad can count now with some new unexpected resting time after their international duties. This means, that Ronald Koeman will now be able to prepare this week's sessions without having to worry about his players fatigue levels prior to this season's Champions League debut against Bayern Munich, who won't have that much resting time as they play this weekend against one of their biggest challengers for the Bundesliga title, RB Leipzig.
The Dutchman will now have no excuses for the match that will take place at the Camp Nou on Tuesday 14th September. A perfect return to European football for Barcelona fans that see this game as the perfect opportunity to take revenge after the infamous 2-8 game played in Lisbon in the 2019-20 Champions League quarter-finals.(Credit:BeSoccer)
